JOB DESCRIPTION :

Job Summary:
Accountable for conducting seamless training in the hotel for the employees and record keeping of the same. Facilitating exceptional levels of guest service by enhancing the skills of the employees through skill based training. 
Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Map out annual training plans for management & employees at all levels.
  • Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
  • Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions
  • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and material
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Research and recommend new training methods
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
  • Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and    expectations 
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
  • Manage training budget
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Preferably from food and beverage service or Front Office background
  • Should have excellent communication skills – writing and verbal
  • Should have sound knowledge of all departments as he/she will be responsible to train other departments as well.
  • Should have sound theoretical knowledge of all departments
  • The resource will also work with Regional heads and will be dual reporting structure.
